About Chris Grollnek

Over the years, Chris Grollnek has earned widespread recognition for his work as a security consultant and trainer. Frequently sought out for his expertise in all matters of weapons management, corporate security, threat assessment, and risk management, Chris Grollnek has been quoted in such mainstream and trade publications as the Chicago Tribune and the Defense Daily Network. A cofounder of security consulting and training firm Countermeasure Consulting Group, LLC, Mr. Grollnek brings an extensive background in the military and law enforcement to his work. At Countermeasure Consulting, he and his colleagues provide training for clients in the public and private sectors with an emphasis on various security topics, including active shooter prevention, risk management, internal investigations, and more. Aside from his work at Countermeasure Consulting, Mr. Grollnek is pursuing an M.S. in Administration of Justice and Security through the University of Phoenix, to be followed by a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Walden University. Chris Grollnek is also Secretary of the International Association of Undercover Officers, Inc., and a member of the Texas Municipal Police Association and the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association.

With nearly 20 years of security experience, Chris Grollnek began his career in the United States Marine Corps, where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant in five years and served in such capacities as Master Instructor, Assistant to the Commanding Officer of the Marine Corps Detachment, and Reserve Battalion Operations Chief of the 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, H&S Company, San Antonio, Texas. After his retirement from the military in 2003, Chris Grollnek joined the McKinney Police Department in McKinney, Texas, and soon began a multifaceted career in law enforcement. During this period, he served variously as Patrol Officer, Special Weapons and Tactics Team member, Corporal, and patrol supervisor. Chris Grollnek holds an A.A. in Education from the University of South Carolina and a B.S. in Business Management and Leadership Studies from the University of Maryland University College. At present, he lives with his family in Texas.
