Active Shooter Safety Tips by Chris Grollnek

If you find yourself inside a building and a violent incident takes place, here are a few helpful tips for you to increase your survival probability.

• Remain inside, find a door that can be locked from the inside and  barricade yourself behind it if possible
• If you are not inside a room that is capable of locking, get to one as expeditiously as possible
• Move furniture and cabinets in front of the entrance to ensure the violent offender is slowed to the point that forces them to move on
• Shut off all lights, close the blinds of all windows and glass openings if possible
• Silence your cell phone, and call 911
• Stay low behind the brick portion of the room, remain silent, and do not panic, console others, 99% chance you will need to do this because few are truly prepared…
